EUROCONTROL's INVENTAIR

ENVISA was mandated by EUROCONTROL to create a website dedicated to global aircraft emissions. The site will allow registered users to download and visualise worldwide emission grids based on WISDOM flight movement database.


In the field of local air quality ENVISA designs, develops and validates modellings tools in accordance with worldwide best practices. We also conduct multiple-source local air quality studies at airports including emission inventory and dispersion. Our expertise includes:

  • emission inventories
  • dispersion modelling
  • emission mapping with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • impact assessment studies
  • trade-off analyses between noise and emissions
  • model design, development, verification and validation

Airport Local Air Quality Studies - ALAQS (2004-2007)

ENVISA led the consortium in charge of developing EUROCONTROL’s ALAQS-AV model, a movement-driven emission inventory tool for airports combined with dispersion models. Case studies were conducted at various European airports.

Impact of Departure Procedures on Local Air Quality (2007-2008)
