EUROCONTROL's INVENTAIR
ENVISA was mandated by EUROCONTROL to create a website dedicated to global aircraft emissions. The site will allow registered users to download and visualise worldwide emission grids based on WISDOM flight movement database.
Meteorological Service for the EEC
Dates: 2003 - present
ENVISA provides the EUROCONTROL Experimental Centre (EEC) with continuous weather data and ongoing meteorological support by collecting worldwide meteorological data from the US National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) since May 2003. This includes the following data sources:
- global gridded meteorological data (REANALYSIS 2) updated 6-hourly
- global surface observational data from meteorological stations (SYNOP) updated 3-hourly
- global airport weather data (METAR) updated hourly
- global marine ocean reports (BUOY) updated hourly
- global observed upper air data from weather balloons (ROAB) updated 3-hourly.
