EUROCONTROL's INVENTAIR
ENVISA was mandated by EUROCONTROL to create a website dedicated to global aircraft emissions. The site will allow registered users to download and visualise worldwide emission grids based on WISDOM flight movement database.
Study on a Basic Economic and Environmental Modelling System for Aviation – EEMA

ENVISA designed and produced the first database to be used by a wide range of European modelling tools to perform environmental and economic studies for aviation. The database was prepared for the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in collaboration with several European modellers. It features the most up-to-date information required by major European models to perform harmonised global emissions, local air quality, noise, and economic simulations.
ENVISA’s main tasks were to:
- survey European model developers to learn about their input data requirements
- design, complete and optimise the database (Data Warehouse)
- prepare common sets of input data for selected models to carry out case studies
- perform case studies with EUROCONTROL tools (AEM, ALAQS, ENHANCE).
