EUROCONTROL's INVENTAIR
ENVISA was mandated by EUROCONTROL to create a website dedicated to global aircraft emissions. The site will allow registered users to download and visualise worldwide emission grids based on WISDOM flight movement database.
Strategic Noise Mapping at Bucharest Airport

ENVISA and its Romanian partner COMOTI conducted strategic noise mapping at Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport (AIHCB) to comply with European Directive 2002/49/EC and its Romanian transposition relating to the assessment and management of environmental noise.
ENVISA’s main tasks were to:
- collect the airport’s 2006 traffic and radar data
- calculate noise contours following recommendations of the ECAC.CEAC Doc.29 3rd Edition
- produce strategic noise maps with GIS
- perform population counts using the latest census data
- prepare an official report for the Romanian Environmental Agency.
