EUROCONTROL's INVENTAIR

ENVISA was mandated by EUROCONTROL to create a website dedicated to global aircraft emissions. The site will allow registered users to download and visualise worldwide emission grids based on WISDOM flight movement database.


ENVISA provides a full range of services to support airport planners and managers facing the challenges of sustainability. This includes:

  • strategic noise mapping in accordance with European Directive 2002/49/EC
  • local air quality modelling and mapping
  • environmental impact assessment of new landing and take-off procedures
  • noise vs. emissions trade-off analyses
  • designing, developing and validating noise and local air quality models (including dispersion models)
  • cost-benefit analyses.

STAPES

System For Airport Noise Exposure Studies – STAPES (2008-2009)

ENVISA is in charge of developing full traffic datasets at 26 European airports to be used in the new multi-airport noise model STAPES jointly developed by the European Commission, EUROCONTROL and EASA.

Airport Local Air Quality Studies - ALAQS (2004-2007)

ENVISA led the consortium in charge of developing EUROCONTROL’s ALAQS-AV model, a movement-driven emission inventory tool for airports combined with dispersion models. Case studies were conducted at various European airports.

Strategic Noise Mapping at Bucharest Airport (2007-2008)

ENVISA and its partner COMOTI produced strategic noise maps at Bucharest Henri Coanda Airport in compliance with the specifications of European Directive 2002/49/EC and its Romanian transposition.

Environmental Impact Assessment of CDA (2005-2006)
